Jonathan Olakunle Olanlokun sees his activism as the legacy of his late parents’ foster grandmother humanitarian work. Having grown up as an orphan and delved into street life from an early age, he’s always wanted to carry on the reputation of his family by helping as much as he could. He began dabbling with various aspects of social impact through volunteerism, and raising awareness about poverty until he understood the connection between a clean environment and social change.  Having noticed a certain discrepancy between the nice cities and regions portrayed in movies, news stories, and documentaries featuring the West, Jonathan began to ask himself “Why can’t our society be like this?” (Personal communication). I am a Nigerian Environmentalist/Environmental Activist who is much passionate and interested in creating public awareness, enlightenment and promotion of cleanliness of the environment which I, humbly initiated and began a year ago (but I started without the Spiderman costume in 2004) the Project have been commended both nationally and internationally.  I have been on the public glare on the importance of ensuring that our environment is deviod of dirtiness, improper waste disposable and littering of the environment which includes our Markets, Motor Parks, Schools, Communities, Streets, Monuments and in all places where waste are seen, found and disposed in our environment.   Nigerian Spiderman Project Environmental Awareness and Enlightenment Campaign have yielded into positive and remarkable results of cleanliness and proper disposal of our environment devoid of environmental diseases.
